The last dunking contest left a bitter sweet taste behind. Was the winner justified? He was neither the most impressive nor the most talented dunker of the two finalists. It was not fair that Aaron Gordon walked away empty handed. He was the star of the show. He brought elegance, creativity and swagger to the court, and dominated showtime. They award “MVP” trophies, so where is the “Most-impressive-dunk” trophy? That was the least they could have awarded Aaron Gordon. A player like that should not walk away with no official recognition of his great talent. He deserves one.
It is not too late to create a “Most-Impressive-Dunk” trophy and present it to Aaron Gordon. Or is this something you do not do?
